HOLLAND — It’s officially 2025, and time to look toward major events happening in Holland this year.
Below is a non-exhaustive list of Holland events and happenings in 2025, organized by month. All information comes from a city-provided calendar and is subject to change.
January
Indoor Farmers Market
The indoor market will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, Jan. 4 and 18 at Holland Civic Center Place.
Coffee with Council
Two sessions will run 5-6 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 8, in the City Council Chambers and 9-11:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, at Holland Civic Center Place.
Social Justice Awards
The annual awards will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, in the City Council Chambers.
February
Indoor Farmers Market
The indoor market will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, Feb. 1 and 15 at Holland Civic Center Place.
Holland on Ice
An annual weekend event with live ice sculpting will run Friday-Saturday, Feb. 7-8, in downtown Holland.
Snowmelt 5K
Held as part of Holland on Ice, the race will take off Feb. 8.
March
Indoor Farmers Market
The indoor market will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, March 1 and 15 at Holland Civic Center Place.
Girlfriends Weekend
Holland will host this annual shopping and event celebration Friday-Sunday, March 7-9.
St. Patrick’s Day Parade
The parade will start at 12 p.m. Saturday, March 15, in downtown Holland.

April
Indoor Farmers Market
The indoor market will run 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays, April 5 and 19 at Holland Civic Center Place.
Spring Fling
Celebrate spring break Monday-Saturday, April 7-12, with “swag, shopping and dining discounts, fun in-store promotions and giveaways galore” in downtown Holland.
Windmill Island Gardens Opening Day
This seasonal attraction in downtown Holland will open for the season Monday, April 14.
Run of the Mill 5K
A race taking runners around Windmill Island, out to Window on the Waterfront, then back to the island will begin at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, April 19.
May
Tulip Time Festival
Holland’s marquee event will return in early May, with an extra day on the front end of the festival. The 96th Annual Tulip Time will begin a day earlier than usual, running Friday, May 2, through Saturday, May 11.
Holland Farmers Market Opens
The first day of the new season at Holland Farmers Market will be Wednesday, May 14. The market runs 8 a.m.-2 p.m. Wednesdays and Saturdays through October.
Memorial Day Parade
The annual Memorial Day Parade will begin at 9 a.m. Monday, May 26, in downtown Holland.
June
Vintage Car Show and Cruise
This annual showcase of classic cars will run 5-9 p.m. Friday, June 6, in downtown Holland.
Bous Pool Opening Day
Located near the intersection of Fairbanks Avenue and 16th Street, the public pool will open for the season Friday, June 6.
Farmers Market Children’s Activities Begin
Once the school year ends, activities for children will begin at the Holland Farmers Market. Weekly activities organized by a variety of organizations start Wednesday, June 11.
American Legion Concert Series
The American Legion Band will have a series of concerts at Kollen Park in June. Concerts will run 7:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays, June 10, 17 and 24.
Street Performer Series Begins
A summer favorite in downtown Holland, the Street Performer Series will begin Thursday, June 12. It runs 6:30-8:30 p.m. Thursdays through Aug. 14.
Summer Concert Series
A free concert series at Kollen Park will begin Friday, June 13, at 6:30 p.m. There will be a show each Friday through Aug. 15, except for July 4.
Juneteenth Freedom Festival
A celebration for Juneteenth featuring entertainment, food trucks and vendors is scheduled for Saturday, June 14.
Waterfront Celtic Festival
This two-day event at the Ottawa County Fairgrounds runs Friday-Saturday, June 20-21, and features highland games, music, dance and various vendors.
Holland Pride Festival
The annual Holland Pride Festival will take place at Kollen Park on Saturday, June 28.
July
Celebrate and Save
Participating businesses in downtown Holland will offer discounts to customers wearing red, white and blue on July 4, in celebration of Independence Day.
Fourth of July Fireworks
The annual fireworks show will kick off at dusk on July 4 from Kollen Park.
Chalk the Walk
Visitors to Windmill Island Gardens on Saturday, July 12, will be able to help decorate the sidewalks of the gardens with chalk art. The event runs 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fiesta Week
Presented by Latin Americans United for Progress, Fiesta Week is scheduled for July 14-20. Events and activities will take place throughout the week in downtown Holland.
Peak Bloom Week
Annuals and perennials at Windmill Island Gardens are expected to hit their peak blooms the week of July 20-26.

Art in the Park
This fine arts and crafts fair will return to Centennial Park from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 2.
National Night Out
An evening to “promote police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie” will run 5:30-8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Kollen Park.
Sidewalk Sales
Downtown Holland’s Sidewalk Sales will run 9 a.m.-8 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 9.
Street Performer Series Block Party
To celebrate the final night of the 2025 Street Performer Series, a block party will run 6:30-8:30 Thursday, Aug. 14, in downtown Holland.
Aviation Day
West Michigan Regional Airport will host Aviation Day on Saturday, Aug. 16.
Bark in the Park
Windmill Island Gardens goes to the dogs from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 23. Visitors can speak to local pet-focused businesses, witness dog agility demonstrations and more.
September
Labor Day Truck Parade
The Labor Day Truck Parade begins in Zeeland at 9:15 a.m. Monday, Sept. 1, and ends in Holland.
Art on the Island Gala
Enjoy, vote on and buy artwork inspired by Windmill Island Gardens from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 4, at Windmill Island.
Van Raalte Farm Civil War Muster
This annual Civil War reenactment will take place Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 20-21, at Van Raalte Farm.
October
Fire Truck Parade
The parade will begin at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 3.
Fall Fest
A family-friendly weekend with pumpkin carvers and crafts runs Friday-Saturday, Oct. 3-4.
Trick or Treating
A downtown trick or treating event runs 10 a.m.-12 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25.
November
Holland Farmers Market
The market continues with shortened hours 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesdays, Nov. 5, 12, 19 and 26, and Saturdays, Nov. 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.
Home Energy Expo
The Holland Board of Public Works’ Annual Expo will run 2-7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 12, at Holland Civic Center.
Shop ‘Til You Drop
Retailers in downtown Holland will stay open late and offer discounts from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14.
Holiday Open House
Holland’s streets, shops and restaurants will be decorated for an open house event running 5-8 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 22.
Holiday Kerstmarkt
Kerstmarkt, Dutch for “Christmas Market,” features around three dozen rotating vendors. The market will be open 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturdays, Nov. 22 and 29, and 3-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 28.

Parade of Lights
An annual winter favorite, the 2025 Parade of Lights will begin at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 2, in downtown Holland.
Sinterklaas Shuffle
An event celebrating Dutch holiday traditions with Sinterklaas is scheduled for Friday-Saturday, Dec. 5-6.
Magic at the Mill
A holiday-themed light show at Windmill Island Gardens will run 5-9 p.m. Fridays, Dec. 5, 12 and 19 and Saturdays, Dec. 6, 13 and 20.

Each Saturday of December, Santa Claus will roam downtown Holland to visit his favorite shops and restaurants. Santa will be in town 1-4 p.m. Dec. 6, 13 and 20.
Shopping Jam
Retailers in downtown Holland will be open bright and early, offering deals and discounts from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 13.
