Oklahoma is currently experiencing an Arctic blitz of winter weather. If the freezing temps and spurts of snow flurries are already falling on hardened hearts, the reassuring thing is that this is all seasonal.
Winter lasts roughly nine weeks. Since it began officially on Dec. 21, 2024, only six more weeks remain of the official winter season.

However, considering the astronomical relationship of Earth to the Sun, it begins on March 20 at 4:01 a.m. CT.
What is the spring 2025 forecast?
According to the NOAA‘s three-month outlook, Southern Oklahoma and parts of the Panhandle will experience a 33-40% chance of increased temperatures in March, April, and May. Meanwhile, the remainder of the state will experience close-to-normal temperatures.
The Panhandle is predicted to see a below-normal amount of precipitation throughout the spring months. As for the rest of the Sooner state, prepare for business as usual with precipitation.
