Woman arrested on murder in case of body found in plastic storage container in Fort Worth

A 52-year-old man was killed at a Las Vegas Trail apartment and his body was dumped from a Ford Taurus onto a road in northwest Fort Worth that leads to a shale gas pad, according to police.

The body of Dwight Hood was discovered on June 5 inside of a plastic storage container on the remote road, according to police.

Police on Monday night arrested Tisha Hulsey, 51, on suspicion of murder in connection with the killing that has been under investigation by the Fort Worth Police Department’s Homicide Unit.

The Tarrant County Medial Examiner’s Office has not released the cause of Hood’s death.

Hood was killed at Hulsey’s apartment in the 3200 block of Las Vegas Trail, according to police. His body was found in the 3300 block of Mc Candless Street.

A Fort Worth police spokesman on Tuesday said the case was under active investigation and declined to release the affidavit supporting Hulsey’s arrest warrant.
