Luke Littler is safely through to the last 16 at the 2025 World Darts Championship.
The title favourite and last year’s runner-up did not have things all his own way against ‘The Diamond’ Ian White in Saturday night’s eventful evening session at Alexandra Palace after another slow start and some uncharacteristic struggles on the doubles, but recovered to hit 12 maximums in total and wrap up an impressive 4-1 victory.
Littler now moves on to a first-ever meeting with Ryan Joyce in round four, after the latter edged 20th seed Ryan Searle in a thriller earlier on day 11.
Michael van Gerwen is also into the last 16 after holding off a spirited fightback from Brendan Dolan, while Chris Dobey outlasted Josh Rock in an entertaining clash.
12th seed Nathan Aspinall made light work of Andrew Gilding, after Ricardo Pietreczko had eased past Scott Williams.

There is more thrilling action coming up on Sunday at Ally Pally, with defending champion Luke Humphries in a potentially feisty encounter against rival and two-time winner Peter ‘Snakebite’ Wright. Gerwyn Price also meets Jonny Clayton for a spot in the quarter-finals.
