BBC Strictly Come Dancing star Wynne Evans has announced the tragic death of his eldest brother. The BBC Radio Wales host has been flooded with messages of support after announcing on Instagram that his “gorgeous” brother Huw has passed away.
Posting several pictures of himself with his brother, the 52-year-old wrote: “I’m so sad to say that my gorgeous eldest brother has passed away. My big brother was my hero and my inspiration. Huw my darling I will miss you so much and am so glad I got to have you with me all my life.”
Soon after he posted this message on the social media site, he was flooded with messages of support from both fans and co-stars alike. Strictly pro Amy Dowden wrote: “Sending you so much love Wynne.”

Dr Punam Krishan, who also competed on this season of Strictly, said: “I’m so sorry to read this news. Sending you and your family lots of love.”
Other dancers on the show, Kai Widdrington, Carlos Gu and Jamie Borthwick also conveyed their support. Fans also rushed to offer their best wishes to the star. Nicola Lewis said: “So sorry for your loss Wynne sending you love.” Maureen Baynham said: “So sorry to hear that Wynne. Big hugs”
