Berkshire Hathaway Stock Gets No Lift From Surge in Apple Shares

Berkshire Hathaway failed to get a lift from the sharp gain in Apple shares Tuesday as the stock of the iPhone maker surged 7.3% to a record close of $207.15 in a delayed reaction to news of its AI initiatives unveiled Monday. Berkshire is one of the largest Apple shareholders with a stake of 789 million shares at the end of March that is now worth about $163 billion. Berkshire’s Class A stock ended Tuesday at $615,769, down 0.3% while the company’s Class B shares finished at $408.50, down 0.6%.
