‘Yeah, I stabbed him’: Fayetteville man admits to police he stabbed his cousin

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (KNWA/KFTA) — Fayetteville police officers met with a stabbing victim at a local emergency room and later arrested a man who admitted to the crime on July 14, according to a preliminary report.

The victim said he confronted his cousin, Tristan Starr, 31, about stolen items. Starr reportedly became “angry” and pulled out a black knife from his pocket after an argument.

Starr proceeded to stab the victim on his left side, the report said. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment

When Starr was located later that night he admitted to stabbing his cousin.

“Yeah, I stabbed him,” Starr said.

Starr is being held in the Washington County Detention Center with a $25,000 bond and is facing a second-degree battery charge.

He has a court date set for August 5.
