Yemen’s Houthi militia has praised the “resistance” of Palestinians against Israel following the agreement on a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, the militia-controlled Saba news agency reported citing a Houthi spokesman.
Spokesman Mohammed Abdel-Salam said the Palestinians had opposed Israel with “legendary and historic determination.”
Abdel-Salam also praised the Hezbollah militia in Lebanon, which is allied with Iran, and the militias in Iraq that, he asserted, supported the fight against Israel.

Since the start of the Gaza conflict in October 2023, the Houthis have repeatedly launched missiles at Israel and at commercial ships in the Red Sea in solidarity with Palestinian militant organization Hamas, while Israel and its allies have retaliated with strikes on Houthi positions in Yemen.
It remains unclear if the Houthis will continue these attacks.
Abdel-Salam said that the fight between Israel and Hamas has now “reached its end,” but Israel’s “occupation of Palestine” continues to threaten regional security and stability.
