#إلا_رسول_الله_يا_مودي Trending worldwide Muslims and the Arab world are protesting against two BJP ministers over Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) remarks.

The BJP convened a party meeting after trending hashtags calling for the boycott of Indian products began to circulate in Arab countries and sought to discipline two spokespersons, Nupur Sharma and Naveen Kumar Jindal, who had earlier alleged inflammatory remarks against Prophet Mohammed. Nupur Sharma’s membership with the party has been suspended, and Mr. Jindal’s primary membership has also been canceled. Several political figures have called for a boycott. They included a scathing attack against Prime Minister Modi.

India suffers from political unrest caused by comments from a few fringe elements. Qatar and Kuwait have summoned India’s diplomats to protest the controversial remarks made against Prophet Muhammad. India has responded, saying that these remarks do not reflect the party’s views. On Wednesday, the BJP controversy flared after a national spokesperson for the party Nupur said on TV that Muslims should not be in the country. That comment was criticized by India’s Muslim groups, and violence erupted in a BJP-run Uttar Pradesh area. BJP swings into action with controversy snowballing.

The BJP released a statement on Sunday, June 5 stating that it is “strongly against any ideology which insults or demeans any sect or religion” and that the party “respects all religions and denounces insult of any religious personality.”  The BJP statement made no mention of any specific incident or event, but it is believed that the group was referring to comments made by Sharma and Jindal.

The Grand Mufti of Oman Tweet:

The Omani Grand Mufti declared that the remarks made by the spokesman of India’s party are a “war against Muslims.” Many Middle Eastern countries have removed Indian products from their stores. Meanwhile, in Kuwait, pictures of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi have been posted on trash bins.

Chairman PTI Imran Khan’s statement

This attack on our Holy Prophet PBUH is the most painful thing anyone can do to Muslims who feel an intense love & reverence for our Holy Prophet PBUH. OIC must take strong action ag Modi’s India bec sadly so far India has been allowed to get away with its Islamophobic policies.

Strongly condemn the hateful attack by a BJP spokesperson on our beloved Holy Prophet PBUH. Modi govt has been deliberately following a policy of provocation & hatred towards Muslims in India including inciting vigilante violence against them.
