Shawwal moon not sighted, Eid ul fitr in Pakistan on Tuesday

Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, chairman of the Central Ruet-eHilal Committee, said that the moon of Shawwal has not been a sight in any part of Pakistan, therefore the first Eid ul Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3.

A meeting of the Central Ruet e Hilal Committee was held in Islamabad under the chairmanship of Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad, while meetings of the Zonal Hilal Committee were also held across Pakistan.

Addressing a press conference after the meeting, Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad said that meetings of the Zonal Hilal Committee were held all over Pakistan, held in Lahore, Karachi, Peshawar, and Quetta.

He said that no evidence of sighting of Shawwal moon has been received, Eid-ul-Fitr will be on Tuesday, May 3, we are trying to organize this platform. On the other hand, Punjab, the largest province of Pakistan in terms of population, has been declared without Shawwal moon. A meeting of the Zonal  Hilal Committee was held in Lahore to observe the Shawwal moon, after which Mufti Ramzan Sialvi announced that no evidence of a Shawwal moon sighting was received in Punjab.

It has been announced that the Shawwal moon will not be visible in Karachi city of Sindh.

The meteorological department had already predicted that the moon would be born between 1:28 pm on Saturday and Sunday.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is no possibility of sighting the Shawwal moon in Pakistan on May 1. Clouds will continue to cover the sky in most parts of the country. Eid-ul-Fitr is likely to be on Tuesday, May 3.
