A Place In The Sun’s Laura Hamilton has addressed speculation about her pregnancy as fans were left puzzled. The presenter revealed that viewers often assume she has more than two children due to repeats of old episodes when she was pregnant.

The property expert carried both her children, Rocco, 10, and Tahlia, six, while filming for the show, having joined in 2011. As new episodes are set to air, older ones have been shown, causing some confusion.

Speaking on Jenni Falconer’s Runpod podcast, the 41-year-old said: “You say about the shows being repeated, it’s funny because when people meet me they go, ‘How many children have you got? ‘ And I’m like ‘just two’ and they’re like, ‘Oh, you seem to be pregnant quite a lot on TV’. She added: “‘No, I’m not pregnant again, just two children’. Because, obviously the show is repeated, so you’re pregnant in one, you’re not in another, you’re pregnant in one.

“I think the shows that are going out, or about to go out, are more current.” Laura shares her son and daughter with her ex-husband Alex, whom she separated from in 2021. At the time, she announced on Instagram: “This isn’t something I ever thought I’d be saying but, after 13 years of being together Alex and I have separated,” reports the Express.

“Our children are and always will be our number one priority and we would respect privacy for our family at this time.” Laura accompanied her statement with an image of a quote which read: “Don’t cry because it’s over, smile because it happened.”

In a previous discussion, the property guru opened up about her return to the dating scene, admitting to The Sun that while she has enjoyed some lovely dates, she often finds herself getting “the ick” rather quickly.

“I’ve been on some great dates, to some lovely restaurants, on a picnic, to the theatre. But I get the ‘ick’ quite quickly. Once I’ve got the ick, I’m done.”

The mother of two expressed her belief in romance but emphasized that chemistry, trust, and a genuine connection are essential for a successful relationship. “Trust is everything for me,” she further confided to The Sun. “It always has been, and I don’t think that is much to ask.”

She firmly stated, “When trust is gone in any personal or professional relationship, it’s game over for me.” Laura also mentioned that she has become more selective and is unwilling to settle when it comes to her expectations in a partner.

Although she confirmed her single status back in November, Laura has since kept her relationship details out of the public eye. However, Laura is open about sharing aspects of her life as a public figure, including updates on her career.

In a conversation with Express.co.uk, she spoke about her ongoing role on the show and her engagements with ITV’s This Morning. The star talked about her future plans, stating: “Obviously, I love being part of This Morning, as well. I’ve got a lot coming up with them this year.”

She also added: “And yeah, just working hard to finish the house and enjoy time with the children.” She further said: “I’m grateful that the children get to travel with me sometimes. In fact, they’re coming away in half term, and I love it.”
