Britain’s Got Talent returned for its first round of live semi-finals on Monday night (May 27) which saw eight acts vying to make it into Sunday’s final.
The live show featured talented pooches, jaw-dropping vocals, comedy acts and an impressive dancer. However, most viewers were distracted when the judges were introduced at the beginning of the show.
The crowd cheered as Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli came out to take their seats. But it was Amanda, who is known for her daring looks, who stunned in a one-sleeve figure-hugging red leather dress with a thigh-high split, reports the Mirror.

The dress also featured a long leather glove on one side. Some fans were distracted and rushed to social media to comment on her dress, which had her going braless. “Bit nippy, Amanda?” one user asked while another posted: “Amanda could cut glass tonight.” One user wasn’t a huge fan of her look and said: “Amanda is beautiful but not a fan of that dress.”
Another praised her outfit though, writing: “Alesha and Amanda looking lushhhh Gowan gals.”
Amanda always dresses to the nines for Britain’s Got Talent. In fact, one of her dresses saw the show receive 633 Ofcom complaints. In 2017, a £11,000 black sequinned gown she rocked during the competition slashed at the waist to show off her cleavage and dipped low at her back saw her receive complaints.
“That dress was hysterical it was Julien Macdonald,” she told OK! previously. “I had bits of fish wire underneath my breasts trying to hold that together. But, look, I’m from a small-chested family, plus you know I’m 48 years old. It’s all quite laughable, but all everyone seems to talk about.”
She added: “It’s been called another national crisis but, oh no, I will not be covered up.” At the time, furious fans took to Twitter to lash out at her outfit, with one scandalised viewer writing: “So Amanda is effectively topless on Britain’s Got Talent.”
While another fumed: “What the hell is Amanda wearing on BGT, totally NOT suitable.” A few years later Amanda stepped out in a lace dress with a spider web covering one of her breasts. Another of Amanda’s amazing outfits saw her rock a plunging sparkly black leotard and a sheer skirt.
She told The Sun: “My t*ts seem to become the show’s biggest talking point every year. Will people be complaining to Ofcom? I hope so, I really do. I haven’t done my job if they aren’t.”
Britain’s Got Talent continues with its next round of semi finals tonight (Tuesday May 28) from 8pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
