Karachi Corps Honors Service Members in Investiture Ceremony

A special investiture ceremony was held today at the Karachi Corps, presided over by Corps Commander Lieutenant General Babar Iftikhar, HI (M). The ceremony served to recognize the outstanding service and dedication of Pakistan Army officers and soldiers.

Lieutenant General Iftikhar, the central figure of the event, played a pivotal role in acknowledging the achievements of his personnel. During the ceremony, prestigious military awards – Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military), and Tamgha-i-Basalat – were conferred upon deserving recipients.

The ceremony held a particularly poignant moment when the next of kin of nine fallen soldiers (Shuhada) were presented with the Tamgha-i-Basalat awards on their behalf. This act served as a powerful tribute to their ultimate sacrifice in service to the nation.

Fourteen officers received the prestigious Sitara-i-Imtiaz (Military), while nineteen others were honored with the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz (Military) in recognition of their exceptional service.

The ceremony witnessed a large gathering of distinguished guests, including senior army officers and the families of the awardees. This shared occasion underscored the importance of camaraderie and family support within the military community. Lieutenant General Iftikhar further distinguished himself by personally interacting with the families of the Shuhada. His heartfelt tribute to their sacrifices resonated deeply with all those present, solidifying the commitment of the Karachi Corps to honoring its fallen heroes.
