Gulfport Police are searching for an “armed and dangerous” man who police said fired a rifle that killed a woman and injured another person in December.

Kialle Deshawn Ray Jr., 22, is wanted on second-degree murder and eight counts of aggravated assault, Gulfport police said in a news release Tuesday.

Police said Ray fired at a group and struck two people on December 17 in the area of 3318 39th Avenue.

Police found two people suffering gunshot wounds at the scene: one victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds, the release said, and a woman lying in bed in a nearby apartment suffered one gunshot wound.

Police said the woman, Donna Perkins, died at a local hospital.

The second victim survived after being treated.

Police said Ray is 5’10” and 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

His bond is set at $3 million.

Anyone with additional information regarding this incident or the location of Ray is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
