Azam said thanks to the fans who encouraged me, I am lucky to have such a brilliant team with me. Babar’s performance in 2021 has been recognized by ICC, he was called a “lone warrior” in the series against England. earlier than that, Babar was honored by ICC as the captain of the ODI Team of the Year, and the T20I Team of the Year. he further said;

I was actually struggling there, but that knock gave me a lot of confidence, My aim is to score runs in every country and at the home of the opponents. It was my goal and that series against South Africa was quite helpful for us.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has congratulated Azam on winning this award.
