A picture of a baby lying on the floor at a Taylor Swift concert in Paris has sparked outrage. The image has gone viral online, with many people alarmed by seeing the youngster not only attending such a large event but also being put on the ground in the arena.

The picture, which was originally uploaded by X user @Jacnights13 (who has since set their profile to private), shows the baby lying down on a purple coat. The image was allegedly taken during Friday night (May 10) when Taylor Swift was performing one of her Eras Tour gigs in Paris.

The infant seems to be on what appears to be a purple coat in the standing section of the singer’s sold-out show at the La Défense Arena – which can hold more than 40,000 people. There is also an unidentified person standing over the baby in the picture, although it is unclear whether they’re the parent or guardian.

Many people have headed to social media to share their shock and alarm over the image. On X, Laurenmurray wrote: “Those people that took their baby to a Taylor Swift concert and let it sleep on the floor in the standing area???? What on Earth goes through people’s heads.”

Larresmidnights added: “Hot take but I don’t think you should lay your literal baby down to sleep on the f****** floor in the GA pit of a Taylor Swift concert. What the actual hell?” Whatamind13 stated: “Get ur baby off the floor and GO HOME.”

En19831 said: “What kind of stupid is this? Babies do not belong on the floor of any concert venue whether or not the show has started.” Aleksoap claimed: “Tickets are expensive. if you can afford them, you can afford a babysitter.”

Stateofarabelle fumed: “I hope someone reported it to security, not even grown adults are meant to sit/lie on the ground.” Ayvinn_2 raged: “A concert is no place for a baby. Can’t get a babysitter, you stay home.”

Over on TikTok, Amanda suggested: “I don’t think the problem is that she took a baby to the concert. I think the problem is that she laid the baby on the floor.” LayLay argued: “I mean I don’t agree with taking the baby to a concert but at least she didn’t leave it at home alone for hours or days like that one woman.”

It comes as Taylor Swift is set to head to the UK next month for her mammoth Eras Tour. She is scheduled to perform in London, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Dublin and Liverpool from June 7.
