COAS visited the Police Lines in Islamabad on Pakistan’s Martyrs Day.

General Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff, visited the Police Lines in Islamabad on the occasion of Pakistan’s Martyrs Day. COAS addressed the officers and youth of Islamabad Police along with the families of the police martyrs. The Army Chief said: “Whatever happened on 9th May is extremely tragic and condemnable.”

“The desecration of the memorials of the martyrs and those who have harmed their dignity will neither be forgiven nor forgotten, and such acts will not be tolerated.” “The sacrifices of those martyrs, whom Allah Almighty has bestowed with eternal life, cannot be in vain.”

“The armed forces, police, and law enforcement agencies are the symbols of the state and the protective shield of the nation’s dignity, and they will not hesitate to make sacrifices for it.” “I want to convey this message to the heirs of the martyrs that on this day, the Pakistani nation and the armed forces stand united with the families of all the martyrs of law enforcement agencies, and they will continue to stand united.”

“On the arrival at the Police Lines, the Chief of Army Staff was welcomed by Inspector General of Islamabad Police, Dr. Akbar Naseer Khan.”
