Coronation Street star Claire Sweeney appeared to hint that she’d be up for taking a big leap in her romance with Ricky Hatton as she spent the weekend celebrating love. The actress took a break from Weatherfield to enjoy the nuptials of her pals in Majorca.
Claire, who is currently playing Cassie Plummer in the ITV soap, first took to social media over the weekend as she beamed for the camera and posed up a storm in a gorgeous shimmery dress.
The soap star, 53, looked fabulous as as she posed under the blue skies and in front of the sea view in the one-shoulder gown the hugged her gorgeous curves and boasted it’s own sheer drape from the single shoulder design.

Captioning the joyouse and uber-glamourous snaps, Claire said on Instagram: “Lovely weekend in Majorca celebrating my friend’s wedding. Dress @elizajanehowell pic by @xentury.” And it didn’t take long for the compliments to come flooding in.
This Morning regular Vanessa Feltz kicked things off by saying: “Absolutely stunning.” @regentsparkskinexperts replied: “Beautiful! You look sensational. I hope you had a wonderful time.” @pearcey225 wrote: “Love all your dresses. You look amazing.” @ericabigfoot shared: “Stunning! Love that dress… you look really beautiful.”
@english_swedish_danish_ posted: “You look beautiful in that dress, bet you felt it too.” @opportunities_in_life commented: “Ooh Claire you look absolutely stunning.” @linda.h.mallorca added: “You always look gorgeous Claire.”
Claire has since returned to her social media page to share a video featuring a compilation of images and clips taking during the celebrations in the sun, which including unique tamborine name settings as well as an outdoor ceremony accompanied by a live string quartet.
Alongside the post, which she shared to Frankie Vallie’s ‘My Eyes Adored You’, Claire wrote: “The most beautiful wedding in Majorca celebrating my lovely friends @marina_norman_ and Jamie Wilson wedding, With friends and family.”
And among the comments was a fan who said: “You and Ricky next??????” a comment which Claire liked. The pair first got tongues wagging about a relationship after being spotted on a series of pub dates throughout spring.
Claire and boxer Ricky, 45, then stepped out on the red carpet together for the first time last month at the first opening night of the £365m Co-op Live Arena. They both posted photos on their Instagram accounts after posing together at the press boards for celebs and VIPs at the new arena’s welcome event before a string of cancelled or postponed shows followed.
The new couple, who met when taking part in Dancing on Ice earlier this year, have since enjoyed a sun-soaked holiday in Tenerife and Claire supported her new man from a distance last month when he was was seen on the red carpet at the BAFTA Television Awards 2024 after his Sky documentary, Hatton, was up for a gong.
