Donald Trump vs Dr. Anthony Fauci
Disagreements between US President Donald Trump and Dr. Anthony Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, escalated.
White House Medical Adviser Dr. Anthony Fauci told a congressional committee that opening the lockdown early would increase the risk of the virus spreading again.
Dr. Fauci says that ending the lockdown soon will have serious consequences, there is a danger that you will spread the epidemic and you will not be able to control it, it will put you back on the path of economic recovery efforts.
Reacting to Dr. Fauci’s statement, US President Donald Trump said that
I disagree with Dr. Fauci’s proposal to keep it closed and I think we should reopen the school.
Trump further said that there is a complete disagreement with Dr. Fauci on the issue of opening a school, we have to open our country as soon as possible. I was surprised by his answer actually, because, you know, it’s just to me — it’s not an acceptable answer, especially when it comes to schools,” Trump told reporters.
It should be noted that the United States is currently the most affected country in the world by the coronavirus, where so far more than 1.43 million people have been infected and about 85,200 have died.
