In the Mirpur area of Azad Kashmir, unknown environmental elements set fire to forests, which efforts are underway to control.
The forests of Azad Kashmir Valley Samahni Kadiala Block have been set on fire by anti-environmental elements. Forest Department teams and local communities have mobilized to put out the fire.
District Field Officer Zahid told to media that the fire was brought under control after several hours of hard work, however, the smoke rising from the forest was talking to the sky. He further said that a large area of forest has been burnt as a result of the fire. Fear of wildfires has also severely affected wildlife. Forest department officials and the local community are trying to control the fire in the traditional way, while the forest garden has also been set on fire by anti-environmental elements which have not been brought under control yet
