Dan Walker has confirmed ‘lovely news’ as he made a joint announcement with Helen Skelton. The pair have had another travel series commissioned following fans’ support after their first jaunt which saw them exploring the North Pennines.
The presenters and former Strictly Come Dancing stars teamed up for Dan & Helen’s Pennine Adventure last year and it saw them venturing through the stunning countryside while getting stuck into challenging activities, from cycling along Snake Pass in the Peak District to trying their hand at float-tube fishing and getting into swimwear to plunge into a river.
After the support for the programme, at the end of the four-part series, Dan and Helen pleaded for their fans’ help as they were asked about the possibility of a second series.

The duo said at the time: “Your comments have really been so kind and encouraging throughout the series and I have sent lots of them through to the teams at WAG & Channel 5. We’d love to make a second series somewhere else so make sure you let Channel 5 know if you want another one.”
And their wish is Channel 5’s command as Dan and Helen are not set to explore Yorkshire. Taking to Instagram, Dan shared a picture of the pair. which was reshared by Helen, and said; “Some lovely news… we are about to start filming a new travel series for @channel5_tv.”
He added: “Watch this space for more details. We’ll let you know when you can watch us wandering around Yorkshire together as soon as we can (champagne optional).”
And it’s fair to say fans were thrilled with the news. @kathryneasom said: “Oh yes that’s made mine and my husbands evening!
