Pakistan: The dollar rate in Pakistan is once again high: The dollar buying at 190.9 PKR and selling for 193.15. Amid ongoing uncertainty in the country, the Pakistani Rupee continued to slump against US Dollar in the interbank market. The Pakistani currency depreciated by 98 paisa on the back of weak macros including higher import bills along with a delay in the IMF tranche. The dollar was being traded at around RS 192 when compared to the previous day’s close of 190.02. Pakistan Stock Exchange also lost more than 400 points on Thursday’s first session.
In the meantime, Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) also witnessed a bearish trend as the KSE-100 index fell by over 463 points in intraday trade and reached 42,300. Another worst day in the history of Pakistan’s economy, the blunders of the Shahbaz government are still going on.
