Britain’s Got Talent enthusiasts reckon they’ve sussed out the true identity of Bobby Goldfinn after spotting a pattern on the show.

In the most recent instalment, an act named Bobby Goldfinn donned a goldfish mask and tried his hand at comedy in front of judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon, and Bruno Tonioli.

But Goldfinn’s act floundered as he repeatedly forgot his punchlines, claiming a goldfish’s memory to blame, which led to a swift exit with four red buzzers from the unamused panel.

Reflecting on the flop, Simon quipped: “Well, the good thing is you’re going to forget this ever happened…” reports the Mirror.

True to form, Bobby Goldfinn seemed to have a memory lapse and reappeared for another go, only to botch his jokes once more, prompting further groans and red buzzers from the judges.

The saga didn’t stop there; Bobby Goldfinn made yet another attempt to win over the crowd, resulting in hosts Ant McPartlin and Dec Donnelly stepping in to shepherd the persistent performer offstage as he kept making beelines for another chance.

As the curtain fell on the show, Bobby Goldfinn once again graced the stage

Social media was immediately buzzing with speculation as viewers took to Twitter to share their theories on the mystery persona behind the mask.

One amused viewer tweeted: “Be funny if the goldfish man was somebody famous taking the p*** #BGT” while another predicted: “Bobby Goldfin is probably somebody that’s already famous. Reveal coming soon, no doubt. #BGT”. Another viewer shared the sentiment, tweeting: “There’s so gonna be someone famous under this fish mask… it’s giving masked singer vibes #BGT.”

Adding fuel to the fire, The Sun has suggested that Bobby Goldfinn might indeed be an amateur Massachusetts comic by the name of Bobby Finn, who boasts a sizeable social media following with 335K Instagram followers and 649.1K on TikTok.

Both Bobby Finn and Britain’s Got Talent have been approached for comment by The Mirror.

In more conjecture, viewers are predicting frequent appearances from Bobby Goldfinn in future episodes of Britain’s Got Talent. One curious fan pondered on Twitter: “Wondering how many more appearances Bobby Goldfinn will make on #BritainsGotTalent”, while another confidently stated: “I predict Bobby Goldfin will make an appearance every week! #bgt #britainsgottalent.”

All this speculation comes off the back of West End singer and performer Sydnie Christmas and Ssaulabi Performance Troupe, a South Korean martial arts group, both hitting the jackpot by securing the coveted Golden Buzzers on Saturday’s show, ensuring they bypass the heats and proceed straight to the semi-finals.
