Pakistan (Islamabad): Monday 1-24-2022: Justice Ayesha Malik took the oath as the first female judge of the Pakistan Supreme Court. Current Chief Justice of Pakistan Gulzar Ahmed administered the oath of office to Miss Malik During the oath ceremony, the Supreme Court judges, attorney generals, and lawyers were present. History was made in the Judicial system of Pakistan, “Justice Ayesha has been appointed on the basis of her merit,” the CJP Gulzar Ahmed said.
Who is Justice Ayesha Malik?
Ayesha Malik was born on 3 June 1966, she started her legal career in 1997 where she was assisting Fakhruddin G.Ebrahim. From 2001to 2004 she worked with many legal firms as a Senior Associate. In 2012 she become the Judge of the Lahore High Court. This year in January 2022, the Judicial Commission of Pakistan approved her name to become the first-ever female judge of the Supreme Court of Pakistan.
