Prince Harry comforts Afghanistan war widow who ‘shattered her son’s world’ by telling him his dad had died
A video has been released of Prince Harry comforting a mother as she opens up about the moment she had to tell her son his father had been killed in Afghanistan. Ahead of Armed Forces Day on Saturday, the charity Scotty’s Little Soldiers, which supports bereaved military children, filmed the interview between its founder Nikki Scott and the Duke of Sussex, in which he also shares his own feelings about losing his mother. In July 2009 Nikki was told her husband Corporal Lee Scott, who served with the 2nd Royal Tank Regiment had died, news she then had to share with five-year-old son, Kai, while also caring for their seven-month-old daughter, Brooke.
