Two critically missing girls, ages 11 and 12, were found safe, the Milwaukee Police Department said late Monday morning.

Police had asked the public Sunday to help locate the two girls, who were last seen on the 2800 block of North Palmer Street and left around 2 a.m. Sunday. They were believed to be traveling on foot.

“Critically missing” is a label that police apply to people who may be especially vulnerable due to a variety of factors.
