According to Federal Minister for Information Fawad Chaudhry, the anthem is a remake of Jameel-ud-Din Aali’s song, the theme of which is, “Hold fast to the rope of Allah and do not fall into division. It may be recalled that the well-known poet and songwriter Jamil-ud-Din Ali had composed this anthem on the occasion of the 1974 Islamic Summit Conference in Pakistan which had gained immense popularity.
Ali Zafar shared the tweet with the OIC song link and said;
There are over 2B Muslims in the world. The @UN resolution to combat Islamophobia is thus monumental. Let’s vow to create a world where discriminating in the name of religion is a thing of the past. My humble rendition recreated for the OCIC summit.
