Stacey Solomon prompted an outpouring of similar comments from Loose Women viewers as she returned to the panel and was described as ‘wiping the floor’ with her co-star as they went ‘head to head’ during a fresh debate.

The Sort Your Life Out host was back on the ITV show on Monday (June 3) joining Jane Moore, Denise Welch and Brenda Edwards on the panel. It comes after Stacey stepped back from the show 18 months ago after the birth of her daughter, Belle, making just a couple of appearances since.

But she returned to kick off the week and she didn’t hold back in her views after Jane teased that Stacey and Denise were to go ‘head to head’ with their views on some of the topics they were discussing.

It started when Stacey, 34, defended new Britain’s Got Talent winner Sydnie Christmas with the singer being crowned the show’s 2024 champ on Sunday night (June 2) following the live final. Jane spoke about how much a personality should have influence on a competition, noting Sydnie garnered fans thanks to her charming disposition.

Reflecting on her own experience on talent shows after appearing on X Factor in 2009, where she finished in third place behind Olly Murs and Joe McElderry, Stacey defended Sydnie by telling the panel her personality should not take away from her singing talent

“I think with Sydnie, I think it almost does her a disservice talking about her personality helping her win the competition because our voice is just so incredible,” she said. “She should have won it, regardless of her personality and who she is, because she’s so amazing.”

“I think sometimes I felt bad that people would talk about my personality, because I thought maybe I didn’t deserve to be there as much,” Stacey added. Because there were so many talented people, and they might not have been as outgoing as me or as bubbly as me, but were they not getting through because I had a more bubbly personality?

“So I felt it made me feel bad, and I felt like I didn’t deserve it.” Denise jumped in and supported Stacey, saying: “Yeah, you did, though, because you had a brilliant voice and a great personality.”

But the pair were soon sharing some differing views. The topic revolved around “men working from home” but the group of women expanded to the topic as they questioned whether working from home was better or worse for the country.

While Stacey argued that for working families, being able to do their jobs remotely had made life easier but Denise, 66, spoke about how she felt there just weren’t enough staff available now because everyone is working from home and that “this country is collapsing”.

But Stacey became passionate as she argued: “What do you think that the reason we don’t have the staff is because people are working from home? So it has nothing to do with the fact that a nurse is grafting hard on a zero hours contract, struggling to pay childcare. No wonder people aren’t signing up to do these jobs, they just aren’t paid enough to do them…”

She continued to hammer her point and while Denise agreed on some aspects, she also shared her arguments against them while Brenda recognised both their arguments, saying she ‘agreed with them both’ when asked by Jane for her thoughts.

But Loose Women viewers were flocking to social media to praise Stacey’s outlook and her return to the panel. @matt89015 said: “I’ve missed Stacey @StaceySolomon #loosewomen.” @Sezzarid posted: “#loosewomen go @StaceySolomon well said.2

@CodswallopPod shared: “@StaceySolomon love everything you said on #LooseWomen. I work from home because of health issues, I’m grateful to Covid Lockdown showing the world that WFH is a feasible option & that work still gets done.” @MadameMinge added: “Stacey absolutely wiping the floor with Densy #LooseWomen.”
