As Leader of the Labour Party since 2020, Sir Keir Starmer is about to face his first-ever General Election in charge of the UK’s opposition. Member of Parliament for Holborn and St Pancras since 2015, Sir Keir is from London and is 61 years old.

Election preparations have begun in earnest, with a series of TV debates between Sir Keir and his Conservative Party counterpart, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, kicking off tonight (Tuesday) on ITV. Set to clash on vote-winners such as immigration, the NHS and education, Sir Keir spent five years as one of the most senior public prosecutors in the country, so his public speaking skills are well honed.

But when these high-powered people go home, who is waiting for them? And do they have any offspring who may vote for them – or even against them?
