As per the new French rules, major Porn websites will be blocked unless the site owners bring measures to ensure users are over 18. Higher Audiovisual Council of France will request the judge tomorrow to block the websites. The government of France has announced today that “It will move to block Pornhub, xHamster, XNXX, XVideos, and Tukif from tomorrow (Thursday) unless they ensure all users are aged 18 or over when visiting their websites”.
The major porn websites were given a deadline until today to implement an age controls system on users who visits their websites.
The Director of the child safety association said, “It is very important to put the pornography websites under pressure, by this way they can not continue to bypass the legal framework to which they have themselves agreed.”
To pass an acceptable age check, visitors would have to provide a verifiable identity document, or other personal information such as bank accounts, credit cards, or mobile phone contracts.
