Former Miss USA, Cheslie Kryst suicide at age 30

Cheslie Kryst was an American model, television presenter, and former Miss USA. Kryst jumped from the apartment building in Manhattan and was pronounced dead at the scene on Sunday morning. The death news was confirmed by her family in a statement given to the media.

Who was Cheslie Kryst?

 

Kryst was the 2019 winner of the Miss USA Pageant. Her age was 30 at the time of death. She falls from her 60 story high-rise apartment building in Midtown Manhattan. As per the sources, she left a suicide note for her mother. She was alone when she jumped and was last seen on the 29th-floor terrace. Just before heart death, she posted the message on Instagram, saying “May this day bring you rest and peace”. According to law enforcement, her body was found at approximately 7:00 a.m Sunday in front of the Orion building.

 

Kryst was among a group of Black women who made history in 2019 when they were crowned Miss USA, Miss Teen USA, and Miss America simultaneously for the first time.
