Islamabad: PTI Leader and the former human rights minister Dr. Shireen Mazari that was abducted last evening released after the Islamabad High Court Order. Chief Justice Athar Minallah heard the case of arrest of Shireen Mazari in Islamabad High Court. IHC order the police to start an investigation against the police officers that abducted her.

“I asked the authorities to show me my warrant. They took me to Lahore Motorway. When asked, they told me that they might take you to Dera Ghazi Khan,” Mazari told the court.
Mazari testified before Chief Justice Athar Minallah that my nails were broken, I was tortured, and my bag and phone were snatched. She further said that the vehicle was stopped near Chakri, a person came and said I am a doctor, I have to do medical treatment, I said if anything happened to me then you are responsible. The vehicle was diverted near Klar Kahar.
Shirin Mazari pleaded with the court to punish these officers, I want my phone back. The court told Mazari that what happened to her was unfortunate. Chief Justice Athar Minallah said that during his tenure we saw even worse cases. Mazari said that I tried to do something about these issues. IG Islamabad told the court that he was aware of the matter and action would be taken. A federal government spokesman said during the hearing that the federal government had not been notified of the arrest. On which the court inquired as to who should be held responsible for this arrest.
During the hearing, Chief Justice Athar Minallah asked, “Who arrested the Member of Parliament?” Advocate General Islamabad replied that Anti-Corruption Punjab with the help of police arrested her. The court inquired whether this could be done from another province without your permission, Deputy Commissioner. The court further said that Matiullah Jan was picked up but he has not been investigated to date.
The Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court said that the court could not tolerate such incidents within its limits. Asked the court who will investigate the case of Miss Mazari?
Advocate General Islamabad, while supporting the investigation, said that as soon as the Chief Minister of Punjab came to know about it, he ordered his release. On this occasion, Iman Hazir Mazari, daughter of Shirin Mazari, demanded a judicial inquiry from the court. The court ordered Mazari’s release, returned his phone, and provided security at home.
