This unfortunate occurrence has sparked widespread condemnation and raised concerns about disrespectful behavior towards a dignitary outside the borders of Pakistan. While disagreements are part of a healthy dialogue, such actions should never be tolerated.
On a recent day in Annecy, France, General (R) Qamar Javed Bajwa, who served as the Chief of Army Staff in Pakistan, found himself at the center of an inappropriate incident. As he was sitting with his wife, an Afghani national approached him and engaged in verbal harassment, displaying a complete disregard for the former COAS’s status and reputation. Afghani nationals have no right to poke into our matter, we are the ones who have given them land to live here in Pakistan, from giving shelter to food, from nationality to job everything was done by Pakistan but in the end, the behavior by Afghan nationals against Pakistan is highly condemnable.
