A research workshop was held at CPMR Paraplegic Center Peshawar

PESHAWAR:(Report by Fatima Jafar) According to global Times news Agency Europe, The College of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (CPMR) organized a research workshop at the Paraplegic Center in Peshawar, where students from universities across the province, along with research scholars, participated. Dr. Aamir Zaib, Director of Physical Rehabilitation / Vice Principal (CPMR) at the Paraplegic Center Peshawar, warmly welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance and benefits of research in the medical field, expressing the commitment to continue such activities in the future. Assistant Professor Dr. Atiq Arsh from Khyber Medical University discussed fundamental principles related to research and gave a lecture on research publications to the audience. Dr. Iftikhar Ali Jan, Pharmacist and Research Coordinator (CPMR) at the Paraplegic Center Peshawar, provided hands-on training on the Statistical Package of Social Sciences (SPSS) and answered participants’ questions satisfactorily.The Paraplegic Center in Peshawar is a unique institution nationwide, providing comprehensive physical, psychological, and social rehabilitation services for individuals affected by spinal cord injuries for the past four decades. They offer free services for individuals with spinal cord injuries, polio, and clubfoot. The institution not only trains its staff and students in cutting-edge medical research but also aims to quench the thirst for knowledge among aspiring students and researchers nationwide in the field of health and well-being. Dr. Syed Muhammad Ilyas, CEO / Principal CPMR, commended the organizers for conducting this excellent workshop, emphasizing that progress without research remains incomplete, and through new research, we can lead our nation towards a healthier future, playing a vital role in the development of the country. Therefore, such initiatives are essential, and the institution will strive to continue organizing such workshops. At the end of the program, the CEO and Director of Physical Rehabilitation distributed certificates and shields among the participants and organizers.
