Pinnacle West is an electricity provider and has no natural gas operations. Through its state and federally regulated utility, Arizona Public Service (APS), it has generation, transmission, wholesale operations and distributes electricity to 1.4 million customers in Arizona. The company has about 7 GW of generating capacity which includes operation and partial ownership of the largest nuclear generating plant in the U.S. The Palo Verde plant is located outside Phoenix and has about 4 GW generating capacity.
