EastEnders airs murder weapon bombshell for Linda Carter

Linda Carter has narrowly avoided disaster over Keanu Taylor’s murder weapon going missing in EastEnders.

Monday’s (April 1) episode saw panic sweeping across the Six over whether they were finally about to be caught out over Keanu’s death on Christmas Day.

Sharon was back from her American getaway in the latest instalment, after fleeing with her son Albie shortly after Linda killed Keanu to save her last December.

Sharon was immediately put on the back foot when Linda confessed that Johnny Carter knows everything about Christmas Day.

As she worried Johnny would expose their secret, the Six suddenly had a brand new crisis to be concerned with when the murder weapon — a meat thermometer — went missing.

While Linda eventually discovered that her mother Elaine had found the item, she set about obsessively cleaning it to try to remove her mother’s handprints.

Johnny tried to calm things down between mother and daughter, making out that Linda simply had too much to drink.

When Johnny offered to get rid of the weapon, Linda stopped him. She decided to call a meeting of The Six to show them the recovered weapon, in a bid to prove they could trust her.

Linda promised the Six that Johnny would dispose of the weapon, only for Sharon to volunteer to do it to prove herself following her hasty exit at Christmas.

“It’s been hard, but this last thing, I can do,” she vowed.

Unbeknownst to the Six, they were about to face a whole new crisis when the floor at the cafe where Keanu was buried suddenly caved in…

EastEnders airs on Mondays – Thursdays at 7.30pm on BBC One. The show also streams on BBC iPlayer, where most episodes drop early at 6am ahead of their TV broadcast.
