Gogglebox fans have been feeling a sense of deja vu about a Blackpool duo starring on the Channel 4 show.
Peter and Sophie Sandiford, from Blackpool, shot to fame on Gogglebox back in 2017. Since then, the brother and sister have become firm-favourites with viewers.
Wherever it’s their witty one-liners or sibling rivalry, fans can always rely on Pete and Sophie to liven up their Friday evenings. But it seems Gogglebox is not the first time the pair have appeared on TV screens.

Back in 2016, Pete and Sophie appeared in a series of adverts. At the time, TalkTalk launched its “This Stuff Matters” campaign.
The company spent months chatting to families up and down the country. They then headed to the Sandifords on the Fylde Coast.
Mum Julie, Dad Paul, and kids Sophie and Pete – along with their brother and sister Lucy and Harry – and Elvis the dog all made an appearance. For two weeks, the family were filmed non-stop with 17 unmanned cameras to find the perfect “ordinary, everyday moments”.
In the advert, the Sandifords can be seen eating their dinner, watching TV, and chatting to friends on the phone. A sweet moment also shows Pete and Sophie hugging, while another sees the pair attempt to not get a leaking bottle of milk everywhere.
Fans were quick to share their thoughts on Pete and Sophie’s TV past. On X, formerly known as Twitter, one person said: “So strange looking Talk Talk advert guy, Pete, and his little sister, Sophie, now on.”
Someone else added: “Isn’t sophie and Pete from the talk talk Advert?????” A third chimed in and wrote: “How have the kids off the TalkTalk advert slid on into Gogglebox?” Another added: “Are the brother and sister Pete and Sophie professional actors? Talk Talk advert?”
Away from the Channel 4 show, Pete is loved-up with wife Paige – who he married in 2021. That same year, they welcomed their first child together, a son called Jimmy Sandiford.
And June last year, Paige gave birth to their second child together, a baby girl. Taking to his Instagram he shared the happy news with his social media followers. Alongside a snap of his newborn daughter, Pete wrote: “Myself and @paigesandiford_ would like to welcome the newest addition to our family, Eva Sylvie Sandiford.”
Fans were quick to send their congratulations. In the comments section, one person said: “So sweet, congrats!’ A second penned: “So happy for you both.”
