Pakistan Railways has decided to restore 10 more trains from June 1. Railway Minister Sheikh Rasheed will announce tomorrow at the press conference which will be held in Lahore.
The decision to resume more trains was taken due to the increasing number of passengers the issue of restoration of trains has also been discussed in the meeting of the National Command and Control Center.
Sheikh Rasheed said Train will be operated under the SOPs. passengers can book the tickets through the internet, booking offices would also remain open, adding that the closure of trains was causing a loss of billions of rupees.
Pakistan Railways guidelines for tightening safety measures in trains will be consulted while online booking, seat spacing, and passenger monitoring.
Security measures will be tightened at all railway stations, while masks and gloves will be put in place for railway staff, including ticket collectors, STs, and police.
