Karachi: This was the fifth consecutive victory of Multan Sultans in PSL 7, beats Peshawar Zalmi by 57 runs.

Earlier, Zalmi won the toss and decided to field first, the decision of Zalmi was not good because Multan Sultans piled up runs in front of Peshawar Zalmi’s strong bowling line and gave Zalmi’s a target of 223 runs to win.
Peshawar Zalmi’s team failed to chase the target in front of the brilliant bowling of Imran Tahir and Shahnawaz Dahani and were limited to 165 for 8 in the allotted 20 overs and lost the match by 57 runs.
Apart from Haider Ali (24), Hazratullah Zazai (43) and Ben Cutting (52 not out), no player from Peshawar Zalmai was able to show any significant performance.
Multan Sultans’ Imran Tahir gave 25 runs and dismissed 3 and Shahnawaz Dahani gave 41 runs and dismissed 3 players.
Multan captain Mohammad Rizwan and Tim David’s brilliant half-centuries and Shann Masood and Khushdil Shah’s lightning speed set the target of 223 on the scoreboard in the allotted 20 overs.
From Multan Sultans, Shan Masood and Mohammad Rizwan came on the field for batting and put on 85 runs for the first wicket in 9 overs.
Masood scored 35 runs and fell victim to Shoaib Malik’s bowling, Mohammad Rizwan along with Sohaib Maqsood accelerated the scoring speed and increased the score to 127 runs in 13.3 overs. Shoaib Malik, Usman Qadir, and Salman Irshad took 1.1 wickets each for Peshawar Zalmai. Rizwan becomes the player of the match.
