The first heatwave of 2024 is set to sweep the UK in less than 24 hours, bringing highs of 21C and good weather for Coventry. Latest weather maps show that warmer weather is set to arrive tomorrow (Friday, April 12).
The East Midlands, East Anglia and Greater London are set to see the best of the weather, reports BirminghamLive. But for us here in Coventry and Warwickshire, the warmest weather will actually be today (April 11). That is according to the Met Office’s updated online forecast.
It predicts that there could be highs of 19C today (April 11) but there will be ‘plenty of sunny spells’ tomorrow (Friday, April 12). This will continue into the start of the weekend.

But, according to the latest forecast, the wetter weather is set to return as we head into next week. Currently, there is no long range forecast for the rest of next week.
The latest local forecast is as follows:
Today
A fairly cloudy but largely dry start to the day with brighter spells developing through the late morning and lengthier sunnier spells into the afternoon. Lighter winds than of late, and feeling warm in the sunshine. Maximum temperature 19C.
Tonight
Some early evening brightness, though cloud increasing from the west, with some patchy rain possible at times overnight. Breezy, though staying mild. Minimum temperature 10C.
Friday
Cloud breaking through the morning to leave plenty of sunny spells for the afternoon. Feeling warm in the sunshine, though breezy at times. Maximum temperature 17 C.
Outlook for Saturday to Monday
Largely dry on Saturday with hazy sunshine at times. Sunny spells and occasional showers on Sunday. Showers becoming more widespread and heavier on Monday, with temperatures returning to average. Breezy.
