Meghan Markle’s heartfelt plea for peace with Kate Middleton has gone viral following the news of Kate’s cancer diagnosis. The Duchess of Sussex’s appeal to royal fans to stop comparing her to the now Princess of Wales was made during a revealing interview with Oprah Winfrey in March 2021.

In the resurfaced clip, shared by a fan on TikTok, Meghan discusses an incident where Kate brought her to tears, stating: “I’m not sharing that piece about Kate in any way to be disparaging to her. I think it’s really important for people to understand the truth.

“”But also I think, a lot of it, that was fed into by the media. And I would hope that she would have wanted that corrected, and maybe in the same way that the Palace wouldn’t let anybody else negate it, they wouldn’t let her, because she’s a good person.

“And I think so much of what I have seen play out is this idea of polarity, where if you love me, you don’t have to hate her. And if you love her, you don’t need to hate me.”

The fan, as reports the Mirror, captioned the video: “kate and meghan > the no life trolls who always put them against each other for no reason. ” This sentiment resonated with many, with one commenter noting: “They’re both so classy.”

One person added: “I’m glad it’s no longer Meghan Vs Kate instead it’s Meghan and Kate,” while another said: “I agreed with Meghan there’s no hate for Kate or Meghan there both good women, wife, mother and there just like Diana and Kate is the future queen and Meghan is the best woman (NO HATE FOR BOTH OF THEM).”

The video has since gone viral after the Princess of Wales announced her cancer diagnosis last month: She said: “It has been an incredibly tough couple of months for our entire family, but I’ve had a fantastic medical team who have taken great care of me, for which I am so grateful.

“In January, I underwent major abdominal surgery in London and at the time, it was thought that my condition was non-cancerous. The surgery was successful.

“However, tests after the operation found cancer had been present. My medical team therefore advised that I should undergo a course of preventative chemotherapy and I am now in the early stages of that treatment.

“This of course came as a huge shock, and William and I have been doing everything we can to process and manage this privately for the sake of our young family. “Kate revealed that she and William have taken some time to explain everything to their three children and “reassure them that I am going to be ok”.

She continued: “As I have said to them; I am well and getting stronger every day by focusing on the things that will help me heal; in my mind, body and spirits.

“Having William by my side is a great source of comfort and reassurance too. As is the love, support and kindness that has been shown by so many of you. It means so much to us both.”
