Monkeypox first case reported in UAE

Abu Dhabi: The first case of monkeypox has been reported in the United Arab Emirates, and the total number of cases worldwide has exceeded 130. According to a local website, the first case of MonkeyPox was reported in the United Arab Emirates, causing fear in the Arab world.

UAE officials first confirmed the case of MonkeyPox, after which the monitoring of the disease was intensified across the country. Along with the UAE, cases have also been confirmed in European countries Slovenia and the Czech Republic. The number of monkey-infected countries worldwide has risen to 18 since the case was reported in both European countries.

The highest number of cases of MonkeyPox has been reported so far in Europe with around 100 cases while the total number of cases worldwide has exceeded 130. Prior to the UAE, experts in Israel had been treating a man for the past two weeks who they feared was infected with the disease. Until now, Israel was the only country in the Middle East where the MonkeyPox case was reported.
