Who is Admiral Amjad Khan Niazi?
Amjad took over the charge as the 22nd Chief of the Pakistan Navy, Admiral Amjad, and was commissioned in the operations branch of the Pakistan Navy in 1985. He received the Sword of Honor from the Naval Academy. During tensions with India after 27 February 2020, Admiral Amjad, the current chief of the Pakistan Navy, was the person who tracked the Indian submarine in Pakistani waters. He commanded the operation during that time.
His command appointments include command of two Type-21 ships, PNS Badr and PNS Tariq; Commander of the 18th Destroyer Squadron; Commandant PNS Bahadur; Commandant Pakistan Navy War College; Commander Central Punjab Lahore; Commander Pakistan Fleet and Commander Karachi.
