The court gave Dua Zehra the power to decide

Police produced Dua Zehra and her husband Zaheer Ahmed in Model Town Court under tight security where Dua Zehra recorded her statement in the court of Judicial Magistrate Taswar Iqbal. Before Dua Zehra’s statement, her husband Zaheer was asked to leave the courtroom, after which Dua recorded her statement in court.

Dua in her statement before the Judicial Magistrate said that I am 18 years old and came to Lahore from Karachi voluntarily, no one kidnapped me and I do not want to go to Darul Aman. Dua took the position that I am safe and there is no danger to my life. Meanwhile, the police requested to send the girl to Darulaman which was rejected by the court. The court said the girl could go wherever she want. Police say Dua and her husband were released after being produced in court.
