Dua Zehra should be produced in court, says Lahore High Court

The Lahore High Court (LHC) has ordered to produce Dua Zehra in court within a week, she is married to her own will to a boy.

Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh of Lahore High Court heard the case of harassment of the mother-in-law and brother-in-law of Dua Zehra, a Karachi resident who got married of her choice. Dua’s mother-in-law and Jeth’s lawyer told the court that the police were unjustifiably harassing them and violating the sanctity of the chador fence. The court inquired where is Dua? Why was she not presented?

The counsel for the petitioners stated that Dua had no connection with them. Dua had last called on May 19 and asked about the case. The concerned SHO told the court that Dua’s location was in Azad Kashmir. The court adjourned the hearing, ordering Dua to appear in court within a week
