Official Twitter account of Punjab Police @DDPROfficial hacked

The official Twitter account of the Pakistan Punjab Police @DDPROfficial has been hacked that has almost a million followers. Department has Tweeted from the “Update” account and requested people to follow this handle until the original one is restored. (Account was later restored in few hours after writing this article)

The spokesperson of the department confirmed on Twitter on Friday that the main handle has been hacked last night. The hacker posted some URLs (malicious) in many Tweets & changed the handle name to “Pʋmp”.
